If you check out post #26 it says what the engine makes for power and the mpg in town. I have not taken the truck on a long enough highway trip to tell the mpg. This would be a great engine trans combo for a daily driver. If you were going to do it you may want to get a 06 or newer because the transmission will be a 6 speed. I run a custom GM 14 bolt with 3.21 gears.
