Yeah the CE begining the first two letters of the vin will designate a v8 model and a CS will designate it as being an orginial inline 6 motor. Also one thing I noticed in your pictures if you are planning on driving this baby very far please get some plug wire seperators or something to keep the plug wires from coming in contact with those headers! Also there is a pad on the front of the block I think it's on the right side where the head bolts to in front check there as my vin on my 350's are located on the left side of the block where the bell housing is from what I can remember! some 87-up blocks were stamped 5.0-5.7 on the right side of the block the 87 up are from what I can remember will have the one piece rear main seal.....Have fun!!
