Ok, ill go back and look at the bracket, and see if my picture is the correct oreintation....imagine the flex of your motor under load, it wants to torque to the drivers side. Now the transfer case is locked to the frame with that bracket, but the weak spot is the tail shaft area of the trans(just cast aluminum) so, the area that is the weakest will fail
Option two, use the truck without the transfer case bracket, no harm done underload and flex. They also used rods to tie the bottom of the trans. to the motor mounts, but you have to have a 'K' case th 350 trans to bolt these up
