Its not all that bad really. I have a 94 irs thats already narrowed down to 54", the half shafts are about 70 bucks each to shorten and thats all i use from the stock stuff. The steering arm is cut down and rethreaded, or new links are made with chrome moly links and heim joints. The lower links are same except normally use poly bushing ends to quiet the ride a tiny bit.

I also plan to narrow the rails from the cab back a little so the side links can still be mounted similar to how you have them now on the stock width setup.
