Shelby drop improves the overall handling of the car. During cornering, the wheels want to kick out (too much) and if you have anything larger than the skinny ass tires that came on the car originally they will rub. Mine do, and they're only slightly larger than stock. I will add though, that the 67/68s DO have MORE clearance than the 65-66 do. The shelby drop is "free". You can print off a temeplate online on use it, however for $12-15 you can get a metal plate that locates the holes better. You may be lowering the mounting holes for the suspension 1" but the overall suspension drop is approximately 1/4".

You do need to get the front end realigned using the "shelby specs." They're on the net. Just print them off and give them to the alignment guy.

They all seem to leak there. That's another leak I have to fix on mine as well.
