Re: 1972 2500 2wd/4wd help

a 3/4 ton 2wd truck handles pretty well in snow. Lots of folks on here have plowed with 2wd truck. I've seen pictures!! Ha. Personally, with such low mileage and the esteemed custom camper status (I'm biased), I'd leave it as is. If you really want a K20 down the road, you could probably find a decent one for less than the cost of the conversion (or at least not much more than the cost of the conversion). Welcome to the board. if you google in the upper right "google" box of the website (i.e. NOT on your personal browser), make sure you click "67-72 chevytrucks.com's radio button in that same box, otherwise it just searches the interweb. I'd recommend searching for something like "2WD to 4WD conversion" and you'd get plenty of hits that explain what's involved if you aren't familiar. Lotsa work in my book... but will give you a good idear what you're in for. Bottom line, if you're on the fence, and it sounds like you are, I'd fall back on the original side of the fence for now. Can always do it later too. Would love to see some pics of your custom camper!

btw, here's the results of the above search request, I couldn't resist! http://www.google.com/custom?domains...D%3A1%3B&hl=en
