Well, I learned the same way so don't feel bad. I should have taken a picture of my snap ring pliers for you before I left for surgery. They are my "must-have" I bought them for doing the big stuff in the mine and they are magic on NP205 front out put snap rings, and every other external snap ring that destroys the interchangeable tip kind of pliers. When I get back I will get you a part number. They are worth every penny.
