yeah, when i made the first post, I only looked at the block.
No I don't have one quite yet. I plan on making mine from scratch. This is the type of box that come to mind. (at last that's what i'm envisioning)

Now that you have the head off you can get it checked for cracks and/or get new hardened valve seats installed. If it not cracked then the block may be the culprit. Either way you may be looking at that tri-power setup you have your eyes on.

Yeah, that's whats been bouncing around in my head for a while..... I don't know whether or not the cost will be worth it.
On one hand, that V8 still needs $600 of intake.....
But on the other, I'm going to be spending at least a hundred bucks on new valve seats, and thats just the start..
