All good info except for the 73 up part, cupholder style consoles were first used in some 76's along with the first introduction/offer of the three point belt system, both the seatbelt style and cupholder style consoles were used in 76 though.

First/ Yes, the 69-76 seatbelt style console is sometimes also refered to as the ashtray style but they are one in the same. Second/as I had stated above the round hole cupholder style was first used in some of the 76's. On your last question we just happen to own a 69 with a factory dark blue center console, will dig you up a picture and post it back here. Mel
