6L80 4WD to 2WD

Hey guys,

I have been looking into converting a 6L80E 4wd to 2WD from a 2011 silverado LC9/6L80E 4wd package I bought. I have research a bunch on here and LS1tech. This is what I have found or am planning on trying.
I am going to keep the short output shaft that is in the 4WD trans and install a camaro houseing extention(see picture).
I may have to get a larger tailshaft bushing and seal. I am using a 4L80 slip yoke. I will post pictures of the motor/trans.

Oh and this is for my son he is 15 1/2 and will get his permit this next week. I have been guiding him on the project as he is doing the work. Best thing ever for a young man to learn a skill and take pride in what he has. Iinstead of the damn video games!!!
