Funny that you mention the driveshaft, as i also thought it should have been the other way around. The t-case end has a flat flange to accept a double Cardan. Im thinking that it "had" to be this way to not complicate things. I may throw a boot over it next time i pull it off, hopefully to minimize dust/make it look better.

No one has noticed that the truck has a "C-20" badge. Yes, unfortunately it is a C20 cab on a K20 frame...

As far as the hood latches, i found this "Aerolatch" that is pretty cool.
