I borrowed a borescope from a friend yesterday so that we could check the condition of the sheetmetal inside the roof cavity, A-pillars, etc. and determine whether or not we would need to pursue some form of rust treatment in those areas. After all of the rust repair we've done on this cab thus far, I was quite surprised at just how clean it is inside. I did find more insulation in the roof cavity that we'll need to blow/vacuum out of there (thanks, mice), but the sheetmetal is all in great shape. At most, we might use a cavity wax at a later date, but honestly, if the sheetmetal is that clean after the life this truck has led, it should have no troubles with the pampered life it will lead from here on out.
