Things must be quite different where you are. I just drove to oklahoma looking for a truck and wouldn't even consider one without a clear title. And it is illeagle to just swap vin plates.

For the record, they use rosette rivets, not screws, to try to prevent just this sort of thing. If yours has regular screws...you might want to dig a little further into it. lol.

It is a shortbed and looks pretty solid to me. I have been watching for sale trucks for over 2 months now. If there was a good title, i don't think his asking price would be out of line. Of course, pics can be decieving.
