It sounds like the fuel is just evaporating from the bowl. Mine does the same thing if it sets for a couple of weeks, especially in hot weather. Running a 1 inch plastic spacer under the carburetor will help insulate it from leftover engine heat which can boil the fuel in the bowl, after you shut it down. The only other thing you can do is run an electric fuel pump to fill the bowl as soon as you turn on the key.
