There are 4 different track widths
1) Stock drum brake spindle
2) 71-87 factory disc brake spindle width
3) "standard" style 2.5" and 3" drop spindles
4) CPP Modular spindles

All would be measured from wheel mounting surface on the same truck, or on a fabricated fixture.
No bags.
No different springs.
Same set up used for all measurements.
That would put all the rumors to rest.
This would be easy enough if one had each of the spindles on hand. Have a stable fixture for the ball joint holes and a framing square to measure wms. Just a matter of rounding up the spindles; maybe a vendor could do this?
