I 100% agree with you.
You would need:
1) 63-70 stock drum brake assembled spindle.
2) 71-72 stock disc brake assembly
(and maybe the 73-87 version to rule out any differences)
3) 63-70, 71-72, or 73-87 conventional DROP spindle
4) 63-70, 71-72, or 73-87 MODULAR drop spindle from CPP.
(both drop spindles would need to be measured with the same rotor installed)
Any vendors have the ability to do this?
