I think the hose under the floor (aprox 2"i.d.) is unrelated to the aux heater. Possibly holding aux power/hydraulic cable/lines to the rear for some reason???
I do feel this was a D.O.D. or possibly an Army Corps of Engineers vehicle once upon a time. I will attempt to request info from a state B.M.V. when I get a chance.
