It's not out of the question. I must have thought I was building a race car back then. I really went for overkill with the welder and bracing. There's probably an hour's worth of cutting and grinding on each plate so for the $8 price tag on the plate I'm thinking it might be a good trade. I could probably sell off the '80 Blazer bar that's coming out to pay for the plates.
