Looks like you're mostly doing this already, but my advice is to stay off the interstates and check out America from the back roads. If you need anything near little Durango, Colorado, let me know.

I've always wanted to do a bike tour down Hwy 1. Mostly tour around Colorado, on trails at that. Very familiar with Crazyguyonabike. Funny how interests intersect around here, it's a small world.
