i have to agree with you
mine is never turned off
a few years ago my technics receiver died from heat and dust overload
when i replaced it my my old house stereo i included a fan and filter to keep clean cool air in the receiver cabinet
my neighbor listens to country, i'm a rock n roll type; 4 of these assures me he's listening to rock
