Ethanol doesn't make as much hp,as gasoline,therefore the engine works harder to do the same work.
The owner's manual of this truck states that if E-85 is used,the loadshould be reduced to 500lbs,the speed is reduced,and the truck should NOT pull a trailer,as overheating/engine damage can occur.
The damage was caused by hauling ,at highway speeds,and when the head over heated the coolant damaged the chamber side of the head.
