Go with the complete change over. I put the fr xmember from a 75 1/2 tn under my 68. You can completely refurb the assembly and then bolt it in. You have to drill one hole on the frame on each side. It is a lot easier to do with the engine out. Heck, you have to clean up the engine compartment anyway. Get a hold of me if you have any questions.
