Question answered regarding the slip yoke. Because my driveshaft would need to be 8' long if I eliminated the carrier bearing, it cannot be done in aluminum, and honestly probably shouldn't be done at all. I will have to keep the 2 piece shaft after all. Nice thing is that I have the parts to make the shorter shaft so it will be cheaper.
