Never heard anyone describe Texas as a "nice cool climate" but I will take it from an Arizonian... you guys are NUTZ!

Did a test with the glue on the crappy DIY vinyl the PO put on my dash. It peels right off. So that will not work, not even gonna try. Will contact the Mfg tomorrow to see what they say. If I have to return it, I will also call an upholstery shop.

However, Coverlay guarantees the dash against warping or breaking for the life of the vehicle. Can't speak for the other companies that make caps.
