Without reading through this whole thread I will ask this.
Was there mention of bubbles in the radiator? Test for exhaust gas contamination in the coolant?
Stock exhaust manifolds? Stuck heat riser?
One thing is for sure. If the stock cooling system worked when new it can still work efficiently today.
