Strip down process started and the bed has been lifted off. Some rust to deal with here...
On the left hand side, behind the front leaf spring mount, the frame was completely rusted out. Only part of the lower frame flange was left. That explains why the bed was resting against the back of the cab :-)
The close up pic shows that part of the frame after it had been cut off. Beyond repair...
