That car in the foreground is the Buick "Y job" that Harley Earl drove to work! Harley Earl was the head of the GM design studio from around 42-58. I saw that car in person recently at a museum near me. I went over twice to see it, those concept cars from GM are huge in my world, damn they were some cool stuff.

Chopped, Sectioned, 1953 Corvette 235 powered. Once was even 401 Buick mid engined with the carburetor right between the seats!
