Or made on Monday, when they all came in hung over. I can attest to seeing the guys going across the street to the "Chevy-Ho" at lunch time at the Van Nuys AD, and coming staggering back drunk as rats. Of course, the only "trucks" we built were El Caminos, and the occasional GMC Sprint.
Before going to work there, I worked at a dealer, and we had an El Camino come in with runs about every foot or so, on both sides. The Zone Office guy made a point to inspect that one!
He wouldn't believe it, until he saw it. How many people could have laid eyes on it and not said a thing? Crazy. It came from the Van Nuys plant, as I recall.
