I kind of went that route with my '66. The outside looks stock. However, I did add a tilt/tele from a '70 Caddy, Muncie 4 speed, and low back bucket seats which I had redone to resemble the 60-66 mustang style. I kept my 283 for its nostalgia factor and souped it up some. It sounds good with dual exhaust and it's a kick with the Muncie 4 speed.
