Re: Great Tailgate Accessory

I have a home brew gate keeper so easily removing the gate is not on the menu. I like it that way.
It keeps my tailgate on my pickup truck... not making money or a free replacement tailgate for some odious ner-do-well lout.

You'll have to remove the nylok nut that retains the bed end of the strut. Not a real big deal in the grand scheme of things IMHO. You may feel differently.

If you take off your tailgate regularly it's probably going to become a pain in the rear for you... one of those things you'll have to weigh the pros and cons of for yourself.

RTFM... GM Parts Books, GM Schematics, GM service manuals, and GM training materials...Please include at least the year and model in your threads. It'll be easier to answer your questions.
And please let us know if and how your repairs were successful.
