Re: Used Parts Build

I had been going back and forth on my transmission for a while. I didn't want to try to rebuild it since I have no knowledge of transmissions (though I will try to rebuild one eventually). I've been trying to save money for some other things and didn't want to drop a few grand on a new one. The local pick and pull has them for $120 and for another $30 you can get a year warranty so I figured I'd go try to find one and give it a shot. I found a clean looking one at the yard and was happy to see a rebuild tag on it. Hopefully it works well.

Made a tab out of stainless for a ground strap. Someone later told me stainless isn't the best for it but Ill give it a shot and replace it later if it doesn't work.

Swapped out my tie rod ends for a shorter set out of a International Scout to adjust for my narrowed arms.

Got my seats back in and driver door on.

Made a removable cross member for the front of my frame.

Bought some paint for my exhaust manifolds.

Ordered a bunch of parts and am waiting on those before I put the engine and trans back in (hopefully for the last time!).
