I'm assuming the bottom of the box will be flush with the bottom edge of square end of receiver which will mean I would have to remove the material(of box) in a U shape, meaning there will be NO material underneath the receiver. What problems do you think this would cause? If it ends up being too weak I will build a bracket of some kind to re-inforce is what I am thinking.
