We're 26 miles one way from the nearest little town with a grocery store and parts and hardware store. But it's about 60 miles just to the edge of a town with real shopping (actually 40 miles the back way but that takes as much time and fuel). I don't know now about ever going camping and traveling now that we got our pickup and canopy. But
somehow we have to get down to southern Colorado for a "duty" (Lonesome Dove type thing).
Not just food prices - there may not be much available. We're trying to buy some things locally like eggs and beef/lamb. Never had much luck with a garden around here.
