I remember when running blackwalls was against the norm. When raised white letters came out you didn't see many turn them in.
I've always run blackwalls, unless it was a vehicle that called for whitewalls (narrow), such as with wheelcovers. One time I forgot to tell the installed to turn the letters in on my '92 K2500. I waas disappointed when I saw that happen, but decided I liked the look it gave the primarily stock work truck. Gave a sporty element to the strictly business look. Went well with the polished stainless tip of the Banks exhaust.
