I can't really get a picture of the manifold in that location, it fairly tight up against the firewall. In the picture of my sons manifold above it looks like it's part of the manifold but it's not I can freely turn it by hand. After it was installed at the factory it was probably not meant to be removed. I think you may be right and would have to replace the manifold if I want that fitting. I wish I noticed it before I installed the motor, it would have been way easier to deal with. I will see if the hole in the manifold is close to one of the pipe tap thread sizes if not I will have to turn something in a lathe and glue it in.
