Had the same problem with my trim when I installed the windshield. The after market replacement windshield is thinner from the OEM which caused the trim not to site all the way flush. I took it to a glass shop that does street rods / hot rods and they had the same problem.

OEM seal with an OEM windshield if possible is the best way to go. After market is a crap shoot.
