Puny for a race car. I ran a smaller cam in a 400 I built a few years back and it pulled like a freight train up to around 4500 when the trans shifted. If I remember the specs correctly it was a 400 block, .030 over, flat top pistons with 598 stock(ish) heads that I had 1.6 exhaust valves put into and a mild polish on the ports. Compression was about 9-1, cam was a comp 268. running an edelbrock 650 carb. Not all engines built have to run up to 7k
