I think the cooling problem is computer related. Somewhere in the 210 temp range it cant make up it's mind to run fan LO or fan HI. The cycling causes the relays to overheat. When I pull out the relay, it is SO HOT that I can't touch the prongs. Looks like I'm going to have to find a local tuner to take a look at it.
Problem 2 could be a stuck thermostat. Since this engine had been sitting for 13 years, I put in a new 187 thermostat before getting it running. The new thermostat housing leaked on the first fill, so I glued it on with "The Right Stuff". I wonder if some got into the thermostat and glued it shut.
When the engine temp is showing 210, the infrared thermometer shows the top of the radiator to be 200 degrees, and the bottom is only 130.
Anyway, it's going to be a while before I can troubleshoot it.
