To make the truck more user friendly and to not load up on fuel on slow drives, I took the plunge and installed a Sniper Qjet and upgraded the 37 amp alternator to an internally regulated unit. Nothing was permanently altered (which for whatever reason I still find important).
I was able to tuck the fitech (50006 mini) up under the batter to keep it hidden. I used an angled fitting for the pressure gauge which has the side benefit of making the gauge readable looking between the batter and radiator support.
