Re: Rear gas tank really has me stumped
I've tossed the idea around of just mounting the gas filler in the fender like you would see in a 40 Ford pickup and borrowing their idea.
I'd cut the piece out of a donor cab to have the right lip on the hole and weld it into the fender and use a new factory grommet to hold the hose and then find a real nice locking gas cap with a Chevy emblem on it.

It's just and idea that should work and pretty well pass off as original to those who are casual observers.
