Re: 700r4

I installed a 700R4 in a '72 outfitted originally with a 350/350, and I had to drill new holes for the crossmember. I installed a 700R4 in my current '68 outfitted originally with a 307/Powerglide, and also had to drill holes for the crossmember. The holes i drilled were very close to some existing holes. It's possible they might have worked if I had scooted the engine support brackets. Also had to drill new holes for the shifter linkage where it attaches to the frame rail.
