Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2

I’m selling my 1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne Super C10 pick up. This truck is a two-owner truck and has been in my family since 1973 when my father purchased it. It was his daily driver going from South Austin to Bergstrom Air Force Base for work for more than two decades. After he got a new vehicle, this truck was parked out in front of our house and sat there for years. After he gave it to me, I moved it to my house, and it has been in the garage for the past 15 years. My plan was to pull the motor and transmission and have them rebuilt and try to get the old truck back on the road, but life had other plans, so the truck has sat in my garage for over a decade untouched.

The truck is all original except for the wheels. It has its original 5.7 350 cubic inch engine and original TH350 automatic transmission. The interior is the original hounds tooth blue bench seat as well along with the original vinyl headliner. I have the trim in a box along with the mirrors and that will be included. My plan was to get it running again so there is about $600 dollars’ worth of parts in the truck still in the Rock Auto boxes they came in. The parts are engine parts and full brake parts including water pump, gaskets, freeze plugs, lug nuts, calipers, brake pads, drum brake rebuild kit, fuel pump, spark plugs etc. Also included is a 5.7 350 crate motor that was pulled from a 1985 C10 with only 30K miles on it. I also installed the rally rims from that truck as well. I pulled the motor from that truck to clean up and install in my 72 C10 but haven’t yet. Also included is the engine stand and engine lift if wanted.

The original engine and transmission have been pulled to rebuild and are stored with the truck. I have not rebuilt either of them, they are both still in original condition. The truck has never been wrecked and never had any body work done. The doors can still be closed with one finger. It is a solid truck with a few common problems that these trucks have but a rust-free bed and cab corners. There is some on the dripline and rockers. I have the clean original title for it from when my father bought it. The truck had an undercoating added it to it the day my father purchased it and the chassis framework is all solid due to the coating doing its job for a while now.

I’m posting the truck for $10,500 obo. It will come with original engine and transmission, all box parts, 350 crate engine, engine stand, engine lift, box of trim, mirrors, owner’s manual, and vehicle rollers that it is sitting on now. https://austin.craigslist.org/cto/d/...545866720.html
