Re: Rain hopefully

Yesterday was a beautiful day, it rained! Less than an inch of rain from early June to yesterday, and forest fires that gave us the worst air quality on the planet (reported in the news) for a bit.

I went to the waste transfer station to toss our old washer and dryer in the recycle and asked the ladies in the booth why the weird schedule lately? It had been closing at odd hours. She said the smoke was so bad it was making them sick in their little booth so they stayed as long as they could stand it and closed up when they couldn't.

I left there and on the way home I have a short section of road that's pretty steep and sweeps to the left at the top. I swept to the left and my truck wanted to come around on me. Months of excessive heat and no rain, add a nice rainy day and very slippery road conditions happen ... wheee! Haha!
