Yep. But lacquer alone is pretty high maintenance, too. I shot the roof of my truck with base/clear acrylic enamel, because lacquer is tough to find around here, though I prefer it. I painted the roof of my '68 Skylark with that cheap lacquer sold at O'Rielly's. White, with a clear coat. It actually held up pretty well, for the price. Looked good 10 years in, anyway. I sold it after I got my truck, because I only wanted one money pit.
