Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2

https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/7552919683.html We are selling our beloved 1972 Chevy G20 conversion van ready to hit the road. Please note: this van is SMOG EXEMPT so transferring title over is extremely easy. My wife and I have owned it for approximately 4 years and we got it from a man in his 80's who would use it a couple times per year to take his grandkids fishing. He had owned it since the early 90's. The van comes with a 350 V8 engine with a 700r4 transmission that shifts great. Overall it runs quite nicely with no stalling and cruises so smooth down the highway at 70-80 MPG no problem.

The cabin of the van is equipped with a 3 burner stove, sink, a bathrom with a toilet and a dinette area that converts into a bed. It has a 20 gallon fresh water tank, a 5 gallon propane tank anda dual battery setup (currently on 1 battery installed). The wood and interior of the van are in exceptional condition for a 50 year old vehicle. The body is straight with no rust, just a few spots here and there where the paint is cracking. It comes with a nice towing package that we used to haul 4-5 bikes whenever we would take it out.

When we acquired the vehicle it had been sitting for a few years without being used. We spent several thousand dollars going through it mechanically and here is a list of some of the stuff we did:

-New aluminum manifold and manifold gasket
-Valve cover gaskets
-Full tune up with new plugs, wires, cap, rotor (has HEI ignition)
-New starter
-New OEM 4 core radiator
-New water pump and fan
-All new belts and hoses, new oil filter
-New pulleys
-New thermostat and gasket
-New fuel pump, fuel filter and fuel lines
-New alternator and battery
-New heater hoses
-It has R134 AC and was blowing cold up until recently. I imagine it just needs a charge
-New stereo with USB hookups
-Fixed the cigarette lighter to charge your phone up front
-4 brand new tires (less than 500 miles)

These are all the things that come to mind. Like any older vehicle, it takes about 5 minutes to warm up but once it's warm, there is no stalling and it runs/drives solid. Overall this is an amazing camper van and will make a great investment for someone. We have the title in hand and are ready to sell.
