these ground through the housing as fauxgt says. i use a star washer on one of the mounting stud nuts and strip the paint from the bracket. one terminal is stop and one is park, I always use a battery and a piece of wire to identify which

it does not click. I have used these several times and it works just as leegreen says, you stick the wires in and put the boot over it. it stays, even though it can be pulled out. use clear silicone to set the boot in place and at the end of the boot where the wires poke through. it should hold even better, i have never had one come loose though.

a benefits is, if you dont use a battery to determine which is which like i said above, and you get it wrong, you can just flip them.
