Re: Facebook classifieds finds

1963 Chevy C10 Stepside Truck

Looking to sell my C10, after about 10 years of ownership, I simply don't have the space for it and it doesn't have the space for my family. It's been sitting more or less about a year, but does still run and drive.

If you are looking for a C10 to restore back to factory condition, or a perfect show car, this is NOT the vehicle for you. To be perfectly honest, I would classify this as a driving project.

My father acquired this vehicle in about 2011ish from a gentleman who had done a restoration in his garage in the early 2000’s, and I acquired it shortly after - driving it from Seattle to San Diego. By the time I received it, it had spent a couple of years outside in the Seattle rain, so the paint is nowhere perfect but it does look decent from a distance.

The basics:
- 1963 C10 stepside
- 283 V-8, new Holley carb, edelbrock intake, headers, RV Cam, HEI
- Turbo 350 transmission
- Hurst ratchet shifter
- Nova (I believe) steering wheel painted white to match
- Custom turquoise/white paint inside & out
- ’39 Ford (I believe) tailights installed into step side bed
- 18” base model Nissan Titan wheels painted turquoise to match the roof (beauty rings no longer installed)
- BC Fab Basic front/rear airbag setup with manual valves inside the cab, single Viair compressor and 5 gallon aluminum tank under the bed
- CPP Power disk brakes and lowering spindles up front
- C-Notch in the rear
- Silverado Seats with integrated 3-point seatbelts and black seat covers
- Runs, drives, stops, etc. but could use some love to make a great cruiser - please see below:

What it needs/could use:
- Airbag lines - the airbags hold air fine, but the system does leak overnight
- Front driver airbag has a large nick in it and probably should be replaced
- The seats are bolted directly to the floor, and in need of upholstery - ideally a new bench seat would solve both
- It runs but could definitely use a tune-up (or an LS motor!)
- Drips oil, trans fluid - most likely new valve covers/gaskets would resolve a majority of it
- Could use new carpet
- Paint has many scratches and nicks, but overall shines well - the driver door could use a new skin/repaint as it has a fair amount of Bondo in it, but it didn’t but me too much.

I’m probably missing a lot, so pease feel free to ask any questions you might have - I have spent a lot of time on it but I’ve simply lost interest in it at this point in my life. All in all this could make a great cruiser for someone with a little bit of love, I’d also be open to discussing taking care of some of the issues for the new owner.

I’m also open to negotiating price, but please look around at what people are asking for C10’s in this price range before doing so. 1963 Chevrolet c10
