Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2

https://chicago.craigslist.org/nch/c...570549336.html The second generation C/K series from Chevrolet was produced from ‘67-’72 and ushered in the era of the gentleman’s pickup, retaining its toughness, but adding style and luxury. The gentleman that had this built now has his sights set on a ‘55 Chevy pickup so he sold it back to the restorer who is offering it for sale today. The Chevy C10’s are about the hottest trucks on the market right now and this one is super nice. Chevy called these the “Action-Line” and they were an instant hit. Clean and clear title in Owner’s name.

Looking sharp in the iconic 2-tone color scheme so popular in 1972, Forest Green and White complement the lines of this truck beautifully. The rally wheels and raised white letter Firestone Firehawks not only look great and suit the era, but make for improved handling over the stock option and the stance is just right. Tinted glass, excellent brightwork, trailer mirrors, chrome rain guards, chrome bumpers and a blacked out grill accent the look nicely. It was a headturner right from the factory and has been returned to its former glory into this show stopping driver.

The comfortable cloth bench seat in Black with Black door panels and Green metal dash and doors complements the exterior perfectly. This was the first generation that added some luxury to your workday and marked the beginning of trucks being more than just utilitarian vehicles. Amenities include: power steering and brakes, tinted glass, and air conditioning. The gauge cluster is nicely laid out and easy to read with a center mounted tachometer in addition to the oil pressure, temperature and battery gauges that monitor your engine’s vital signs.

The original 350 V8 has been bored out to 355 cubic inches and an Edelbrock aluminum intake and headers have been added for a nice bump in horsepower over stock. With just 5k miles on it since the rebuild, it is barely broken in. Total miles on the truck are reported to be accurate at 76,659, so it has been lightly driven and well looked after. A Hurst shifter manages the 5-speed manual transmission controlling all that power quite nicely. The throaty rumble you hear through the Borla exhaust as you run through the gears is intoxicating.
