10.5 FF 14 Bolt Limited Slip

I am currently starting a rebuild of a 1978 GMC K25 that spent the majority of it's life in the desert SW. It was run hard and put away wet so to speak! The engine, trans and t-case were all replaced at some point, and the replacements were all cracked so most of the driveline went to scrap. I am parting out a 2003 Silverado 2500HD and am considering putting the 8100 Vortec (496) in this truck as I have a Dana 60 front to replace the Dana 44 front that came on it. The 10.5" 14-bolt rear should be more than adequate for what I will be doing but I would like to put some type of Limited Slip in the 14-bolt to replace the GovLoc (worn out I might add) that is in it.

I am wondering what experience some have had with aftermarket LSD carriers. I do not need a Detroit Locker for what I will be doing but will need added traction that an open diff cannot deliver. Plus the 496 has way too much torque, if there really is such a thing! Thanks in advance.
