Well, the transmission is just about back together. I’ve got the overdrive related bits to put back on, but all the internals are back in place.

Last night I got to the point of getting the overdrive unit and main shaft into the main case. Finished up at about 1:30 AM and decided I had enough. This morning, I wrapped up the insides by reinstalling the input shaft and mostly sealing up the transmission. While that was happening, I’ve also been helping a friend with the rebuild of his 68 Triumph Spitfire transmission. Apartments don’t like people working on their cars in the parking lot, so we’re doing the swap here.

Yes, that log I picked up off the side of the road has turned out to be a great outdoor workbench
